Mixing
In the studio or remotely
- Analogue and digital
- Focal · Adam · Yamaha
- Online too
The mix is where a recording becomes a song: balance, space, depth and energy. At Séptimo Cielo we mix in our main control room, Room M, combining the speed of a digital workflow with the character of analogue processing.
We mix projects recorded here and also remotely: if you've recorded at home or at another studio, send us your tracks from anywhere in the world and we'll return a mix ready for mastering.

- We mixWe send you a first version of the mix so you can listen and give us feedback on anything you'd like changed.
- We fine-tune and deliverWe go through your notes and deliver the final files in WAV format, ready for mastering.
Reference monitoring
We mix on Focal, Adam and Yamaha monitors and cross-check on reference headphones such as the OLLO Audio X1 and Sennheiser HD650, so the mix translates well on any system: from a hi-fi set-up to a phone or car stereo.
If you'd rather experience the mix first-hand, you can come to the studio and work with us in the room.

Frequently asked questions
How much does it cost to mix a song?
Every project is different, so we put together a tailored, no-obligation quote. Message us on WhatsApp or email info@septimocielo.es and tell us what you need.
Do you mix projects recorded at another studio or at home?
Yes. We accept tracks from any source; if we spot anything worth fixing before the mix (noise, phase issues, edits), we'll let you know.
How should I prepare my tracks?
Export each track as a WAV file at the session's sample rate, all starting from the same point and with no effects on the master bus. If an effect is part of the sound (a guitar pedal, for example), send us the track both with and without it. Give them clear names and include the song's tempo.
Can I attend the mix?
Yes. You can come to the studio for the mix session or, if we're working remotely, send us your notes after listening to each version.
Do you also do the mastering?
Yes. We can take care of mastering the same project so that mix and master head in the same direction.
